My favorite place to stay in Laoag City is the Balay da Blas Pensionne House. It suits my budget and besides being centrally located has very homely rooms.

This is as hospitable as you can get. This is the perfect jumping off point for your Ilocos Tour and trip to Pagudpud and other places.

The Balay da Blas Pensionne House was originally the Blas family home and Sammy Blas has made this into a home away from home for travelers and tourists.

The décor reflects a family home and each suite is tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new furniture and decorations.

There are antiques and lovely paintings. It’s all about warmth and welcoming and comfortable surroundings. It is not all old world rustic charm though, as the suites have air conditioning, along with cable TV and WiFi internet access.

Each of the suites have very spacious living rooms and an air conditioned bedroom. In the Deluxe Suite they have a fully furnished kitchen. There is also a private bath with hot & cold shower. The Superior Double Suite is unique and is decorated in an Ilocano Moderne style. The best in Laoag Hotel comforts

They have a bed and breakfast package for guests however Sammy is a noted gourmand and they also provide a lunch and dinner from what is probably Laoag City’s best and innovative restaurant.

They will serve you with quality food either Al Fresco or in your own suite. Alternatively why not go to the Saramsan Ylocano Restaurant and Bar and dine in style.
